Subject: Pageant

When are you all going to realize that all these pageants are predetermined winners, unfair, mean girls, hateful moms, etc? It’s every pageant your daughter doesn’t win.

From someone that has been on both sides, I can tell you, some are rigged, most aren’t. And it’s not necessarily the directors directly, the judges come in groups of three, mostly together, Judge week after week after week, see the same girls, and yes they pick people they know. They even call and ask if they can judge! If two come together and one alone (as I have done many times), the two have their favorites, stick together and the one judge should just stay home. They have no say. I like having five judges from five different parts of the state and no one riding together to discuss. It just makes sense. Even if you use three judges, pick three from three different parts of the state. But 9 Times out of ten, the director calls, can you judge, and bring two with you. People, I have no wood in the fire, dropped this several years ago, if you are doing pageants for fun continue. If you are doing it to win, unless you know people, you don’t have a chance. It’s just the truth. It’s all in who you know, period and I speak as a mother of a former pageant participant, and as a judge. And by the way, my daughter went to state several times. And I will be the first to say, it’s all in who you know. Sorry but not sorry, it’s just the truth!
