She pins her ears and half-rears, snorting and tossing her head. She lunges at Allie through the bars, although stops and retracts. She pricked her ears for a moment at the lullaby and pins them right back down. She watches Allie warily, pacing back and forth and working up a sweat. Throughout her foal hood she had been with her mother, never a human hand laid upon her. Then when she was a yearling they rounded her up and attempted to break her. She wouldn't give up and they beat her. Stalls were the worst for there was no place for her to escape and so she developed the habit of pacing. Eventually the trainer got fed up with the 'nice' ways of breaking and beat the h*ll out of her at night. From then on she hardly slept at night. Eventually they gave up on her and sent her to 'the bronc school' as they called it, which only toughened her meaness and wildness.
