The mighty young stallion pranced, quivering in joy of being outside. He pranced up and down the fence side for a moment, his sister mimicking his movements. Then lowered his graceful head and investigated his paddock, finally stopping and grazing, lifting his head every once in awhile to survey what he considered his land.

The ebony mare followed her brother for a moment then nuzzled her mother, joining the rest of the broodmares and nipping a few sides in an attempt to play. None of the others seemed to want to join her so she pranced about, tail flagged and head held high, bullying some of the smaller horses.

Grey and rather unfit she trotted heavily to the other mares, nosing them in greeting. As Phantom began to harass the others she pinned her ears and drove the youngster away from the bunch, not having any of this nonsense about.
