Broder! ! !

Just checked the BFF-website, and saw that the new album has come out! Cool!!

"Armageddon" comes out from the telly tonight (am needing some good laughs so it's very much welcomed), and the movie-channels show "Hitler: The Rise of Evil". Also "Spun" seems to be coming out during this fall. "Tuxedo" and "Windtalkers" have also come out occasionally so we've had the chance to see some Peter. IMDb says "Birth" is the next Peter-film to see daylight... eh, screenlight? in the US, quite shortly. Great. But not at all great that the release of "Brothers Grimm" has been postponed until next fall!!! Luckily there's at least "Constantine" to see before that.

Moi vaan Päivi!!

Have you seen the Constantine-trailer? You can only see a brief glimpse of Peter's face but I'm sure he will rock as the Devil.

Oh by the way, the trailer that you see in f.ex IMDb, has been cut to fit all audiences and there you can't see Peter at all. For example in www.allocine.fr page you find a teaser that is slightly longer, more rough and there appears also our Peter.

- I don't believe in Devil.
- You should. He believes in you.

Darn, I can't believe we have to wait until February!

Started by me?? NOOOOO!! Could this happen? :)

On the _Comic Book: The Movie_ message board, there's a topic called "The Comic Café" and about the seventh page, it got derailed by discussion of our Peter, and the film _Hamilton_. Maybe earlier in the topic there was discussion of the film. I only mention it here because a girl who lives now in Norway recently joined, and actually knew a great deal of Peter's roles.

If you're bored, have a read. If not, you must have very busy life, unlike me! :)

By the way, I've heard that Mr. Stormare was in the Tuxedo. I have never seen it and heve heard mixed reviews about it. Is this movie any good? Would you recommend it?I'd appreciate any opinions!

Hi Cartooncheryl, Minna, and everyone else!

Cartooncheryl, the reply list was getting pretty long on my last message, so I decided to start a new one! I hope you don't mind if I reply to you here.

Yes, I am American (although I don't look it!) and am currently living in northern Virginia. I'm about forty-five minutes from Washington D.C. and a good hour from Richmond.

I was homeschooled from first grade through my eleventh grade and only attended public school for my senior year because I had completed my home curriculum. Going from homeschool to public school was hard...talk about culture shock! I could spend hours telling horror stories of that one year, but who would want to read that? :) I'm sorry to hear about the schools in your area. Where do you live, by the way?

Yes, you are right in saying that it is "dorky" to be a Star Wars fan or LoTR fan! I'm both and have been made fun of a lot by others. However, you are also right in saying that being "dorky" allows you to have fun (are you a Star Wars or LoTR fan?)! I consider it a part of my "screening" process when looking for friends. I like to be with those who are fun, accepting, and have a great sense of humor. A lot like some Peter Stormare fans I've met! :)

Wow, it's great that you've met Mark Hamill twice. I'm really happy for you! He's such a nice guy and so neat! I hadn't heard the story aout Mark punching Peter out--Ouch! I'm glad they remained on good terms with each other :) It would be great to meet Mark and/or Peter one day! It would also be wonderful to meet with all of you guys someday, too! :)

Wow, look at me ramble! I'd better go before I really label myself as a chatterbox :)

Hi, I'm new and was wondering if the site is still in operation. *Taps on screen*

I've been lurking around here (I admit it!) for a while, gathering the courage to actually post something. I confess I have only recently discovered Peter Stormare (I know, I'm way behind!) and have spent much time trying to find a decent site dedicated to him. I believe I've finally found it! I commend the individual(s) who were responsible for creating this site-- it's very nice.

It's been very difficult for me to actually find, much less converse with, people who actually know of and appreciate Peter Stormare. It would be very nice to get to know and talk with some real fans!

I look forward to "meeting" some soon!

WOOOOWWW! Wanna see Peter play the Ultimate Evil, the old Devil himself???

Allocine.fr has always such interesting news! Maybe you have already heard of this project, but it was totally new to me. The casting looks really really interesting: Peter as Satan, Keanu Reeves as Johnny Constantine, Tilda Swinton, Rachel Weisz, Gavin Rossdale and Djimon Hounsou.

Hellblazer is based on a comic book by Francis Lawrence, script is by Mark Bomback and Frank Cappello. The movie is said to open in October, 2004.

Yi-haaaa! I can hardly wait! I think Gabriel Byrne did a great job as Satan in End of Days... but I think Peter could be even more spectacular.

***********************************************
from www.allocine.fr:

Peter Stormare affronte Keanu Reeves

Has anyone seen "Bad Boys II"? I'm curious to see it, but I have only seen mixed reviews on it, and not a word about Peter! Most people say it is very violent (speaking of violent, a bug just flew into my eye - owwww!!) and it doesn't sound like my kind of film. But if his role is large or it has something to offer, I would like to see in cinema.

Oh, I went to imdb.com and found a picture of him from it! Woohoo!! It looks much like his role in "Bad Company", which I hated. (The film, not him in it.)

Hi Stormare4life

I have found the Hamilton-DVD. Is it possible for you to see it where you live. It costed 149 SEK. Check it out if you can use it and get back to me with your adress and I´ll send it to you. 149 SEK is less than 20 dollars. It was not very low price but it was not full price either.

Hi!

I can understand why you wouldn't want to work for Olan Mills or Sears! Talk about the old Bait & Switch! They are like legitimate Hari Krishnas! Lure you in on false pretences (I'm usually a really good speller...Now, I'm too tired to care...)

I am sooooo sick of hearing about Tom, Julia, Demi, Cameron, J-Lo, Ben and the rest of the obnoxious and/or talentless buffoons in Hollywood. Did you see Vanilla Sky? If so, what did you think of it? I think I'm the only person in America that doesn't like Julia R....

Wow -- you are really a die-hard Mark H. fan. I read his bio -- it states he was born in 1951? He looks so young! What's with PS and MH looking so good at age 50 (or, in Mark's case, 50-plus)? These young (popular) whippersnappers can't hold a candle to these real men...Were you nervous when you met Mark? I'm surprised you didn't faint! But, it's understandable as you must be a very likeable/charismatic person in order to be a successful photographer. You have to have the gift to make people being photographed "come out of their shell" and make for a good photo...Mark's play is going to Broadway! It must be quite good! Will you be taking a trip to NYC to catch it? That would make for a good vacation!

I am shocked Erik didn't speak Spanish! Learned something new today!

Fla. is just like NC in the respect that once you go outside Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Delray Beach, etc., it's like being in the movie Deliverance! In Fla., they have a lot of hate groups. The Klan used to regularly march in the area I now live in! It's scary what hateful people are capable of...Did you watch Dawson's Creek? It was cute, at the beginning... Did you see Shallow Hal? I don't really like movies where they make fun of people's appearances. I get upset -- I've always been that way, ever since I was a child... Like to root for the underdog, and all that...

When you become the next Annie Lebowitz or Francisco Scavullo, hire me as your agent! We can make a PS and MH coffee table book! Always follow your heart, or you'll never be really happy!

I've got to sign off as I'm drifting into unconsciousness (is that a word? I'm too exhausted to care)...

Good night and look forward to our next chat... (m)

PS (that's postscript, not Peter S...): If you sent me a Hamilton tape, would it be watchable? Where do you get the American/European video recorders anyway...Let me know. Thanks...

Hi! Sounds like you work for a big photography company... Most photographers here just have the owner and a couple of employees..

If you want to learn Spanish, I understand it is one of the easier languages to learn because most of their words are pronounced exactly as they are spelled, as opposed to the English language. It amazes me how PS, various other actors, and many foreigners are able to master the English language so well. I wonder if we could do that if we put our minds to it. Hey, we should learn Swedish and Finnish and then Minna, you and yours truly could all speak in Nordic tongues! We might as well, I think we're the only ones left in the forum... The true die-hard Peter admirers.
We have become THE FORUM...Sounds mysterious, like a cult!

Hey, I've got a question for you... Who do you like better, Mark H. or Peter? Come on! Don't be diplomatic! Tell the truth... (smile). Your love for Mark is kind of growing on me... I get a lot of film periodicals -- I'll have to scan thru' them to see if there are any good Mark H. articles for you...

Is the girl who went to Fla. w/ you originally from Spain and now lives in North Carolina? If so, what a culture shock that must be! Do you like Erik Estrada too?

Yeah -- I was talking to YOU about being a cool person. And yes, Minna is a really special cool person too.

I'll explain what I meant about the lizzards -- the male lizzard goes thru' this ritual to gain the attraction of the female lizzard when he's ready to mate. This big hunk of red flesh goes in and out of his neck -- apparently the female finds this irresistible -- and they proceed with... well, you know... Anyway, when people see if for the first time -- it kind of freaks them out! Did you think I was talking about a musical group? The Lizzard Mate -- kind of sounds like a leather goods store, doesn't it? I can only equate the female lizzard's reaction to the male's mating ritual to how I feel when I view a PS movie... I hope I don't wake up as a female lizzard tomorrow morning...

Non-North Caroliners think of North Carolina as really rural/the deep south/tobacco fields, etc. Buy you have actor friends -- travel with people that hail from Spain -- you're a photographer -- an author (the play review) -- how continental!

I'm going to check out the markhamill.com and go to bed!

Look forward to your next message. Bye! -m-

Hi! Good to hear from you! I just thought of something -- It's June -- wedding month! -- you must be extremely busy this month!

Don't worry about learning Spanish. Most of the Cubans and other Spanish people learn English as soon as they get here. Because things were so bad in Cuba -- a lot of them really want to Americanize themselves. Don't tell me you know Swedish! I'm impressed. I should learn some. We could chat about PS in Swedish! How cool would that be?

Miami is nice -- but Ft. Lauderdale, Boca Raton, and Delray are also turning into really hip places too! When you come down, we'll do up the town! You seem like a really fun person and have a great sense of humour! I, too, like to "slap people around". Of course, up until this point, I just do it mentally -- but it's fun..There certainly is no shortage of people that need to get slapped around in South Florida. A lot of people that have to run away from somewhere else end up down here! Hey, when you were in So. Fla., did you see the lizzard mate? You should catch that on film... Hey, who's the blonde in your "work" folders on your "webpage"?

Yeah -- I knew you'd like Mr. S in Bad Company. I love the stubble, unbuttoned shirt, earring and Eurotrash attitute. He played a really tough Russian as opposed to Lev -- a "spaced out"/genius suffering from cabin fever! As usual, he was gorgeous and irrisistable in both. I've never seen him in a bad performance. With some of his movies, he's the only good thing about it! Chris Rock was very cute acting and funny in that movie! Anthony Hopkins was mellow in comparison to Hannibal Lechter!

Don't forget about Damage @ 10pm on Saturday. I look forward to your critique! (When you said you reviewed Mark H's play -- where did you send your review -- to your local newspaper, the Internet? Would like to read it. Sorry I missed it. He's a cutie.

Look forward to your reply! -m-

Pekinese (excuse my spelling errors at the end of the day -- I get soooo tired...) are cute! They are very popular here in South Florida where I live. A lot of the rich ladies bring them with them everywhere, even to outside restaurants, and they order the dogs an expensive meal! But, I think I have you beat on pigheaded Breeds. My Dalmatian has an agenda! Stubborn!!!! Whenever I scold him, he looks at me like "Yeah, whatever..."

Well, about Mercury Rising, I know of four geniuses now with impeccable taste: you, me, Cartoon Cheryl, and the reviewer of Mercury Rising!! Hope to hear from you soon!(m)

I've got a great idea. You should run a photography ad in some of the elite South Florida magazines -- that you specialize in out-of-town weddings. You could become a millionaire with all the rich foreigners in South Florida. There are thousands of not only rich Cubans, but rich South Americans, rich Israelis (sp? I'm so brain dead at the end of the day...), etc. They spend $100,000 plus for their kids' weddings. They have people here that spend between $20,000-100,000 on their kids' Bar & Bat Mitzvahs! My old boss had his kid's Bar Mitzvah in the Orange Bowl! I'll get together some of the top magazines (I actually have some here in the house now) and, if you would like me to, I'll send them to you and you can decide if you want to do it as a side job. I'm telling you -- you could make big money.

Yeah -- story of my life -- "meet" nice people after the fact! In all seriousness, if you do plan to come down for vacation (or for whatever reason) to Florida, let me know. You're always welcome to stay here if you don't want to run up a hotel bill. Anyone who like PS is OK in my book!

Yeah, I admit -- I do have it REALLY BAD! I even was drooling when he was that nerdy guy in Circus! (It's what inside that counts, right? Ha Ha). Will check out that link about the cartoons. That's a cute story! Hey, on that German site, I just about melted over the pix of PS with his head cocked with the BFF hat on... You know which one I mean! All I could think was AWWWWWWWWWWWW.

Look forward to your reply as always! (m)

Next time you plan to come to Fla., just let me know. We can "do up" all the hot spots -- South Beach -- Delray Beach! We'll have fun! Any PS admirer is OK in my book! Yes CocoWalk is beautiful. The shops are great, aren't they? I also love natural foods. It's funny you thought the lizzards are cute! Everyone here (Florida) is either afraid or repulsed by them!

As far as the way PS looked in 8MM, I even found him irrisistable (sp? -- I'm soooooo tired!) in a Nazi uniform in that Hitler movie and killing people in Fargo!

Hey - why do you call yourself Cartoon Cheryl?

Damage is on at 10pm on Saturday...

What kind of dogs do you have anyway? I have a Dalmatian and a Chocolate Labrodor Retriever...

What was the story with Mercury Rising anyway? A cameo?

Did you see Mercury Rising? Is that how his hair looked in Hamilton?

Yes -- that velvet voice of his! I have a better dream than Lev reading the phone book to you. How about him reading the full-blow version of the Oxford Dictionary -- it's longer and would take more time...(smile)

How did you like Peter with blond hair in Fargo? Or did you prefer the Gothic look in 8MM? Even tho' I liked that Eurotrash look in Bruiser -- I think he looked cute clean shaven with short hair in Minority Report and Windtalkers...

On 6/27th, the Bravo channel is showing Damage... That's a peter movie I have not seen yet. Do you get Bravo? If not, and you want to see it, I'll tape if for you if you like...

You seem to be very UP on PS happenings. Since he's in a lot of non-big budget films, if you ever come across he'll be at a film festival in South Fla. for one of his films, LIKE SPUN (for example the Miami Film Festival or Ft Lauderdale or Palm Beach film festivals), let me know. You can come down here and we could go together. I could never get one of my friends to go with me and would love to go. I'll keep my eyes open too. Yes -- that beautiful smile...He's got really nice white teeth, don't you think?

Well, of course, he IS famous already, but I had a really cool thing happen tonight!

I went to my friend's birthday party and was chatting with some people, and for some reason I said "Russian space station." So this guy who was walking through the room, started quoting Peter from the movie! After I woke up from fainting, :) I went "AAAAHHHHHH" you know that!!" Then... get this.... he started talking about Peter in "8mm", and saying that Peter was the only good thing in "Armageddon"!

I don't think he was a fan like we are of Peter, but I was really amazed to find someone where I live that knows who he is, and likes what he does!

Fargo really is a masterpiece. I too thought William Macy's charachter was great -- even though he hired the "dynamic duo" to kill his wife -- he was so desparate and pathetic I kind of felt sorry for him! I had to go to Wisconsin on business a few years ago -- it's not far from Minnesota where much of Fargo takes place. The people in that region really do sound like the Marge character. They kept responding to me with "Oke Dokey" and "You Becha". I had to smile every time someone answered me like that -- I felt like I was in Fargo! It's hard to believe Steve B. is quiet in real life. Remember how much he was talking in Armageddon (I'm so tired, if I spelled it wrong, forgive me)? Although his character was kind of quiet in The Big Lebowski... Did you see those two PS movies? Speaking of power bars -- I love them!

I'm going to have to buy a cot and ask the staff @ Blockbuster if I can sleep there on certain nights! Either sleep there or get a 2nd job there to pay for all these videos/DVD's I'm renting and/or buying! Oh well -- you've got to enjoy life, right? In any event, I'll be there tomorrow to get the Armg'n video just to view the fight scene. Loved that Russian accent! I saw Dancer in the Dark. The end was really sad! The Jeff character reminded me of the Ingvar character he played on the Watching Ellie TV show. Very sweet! The man is versatile. By the way, your English is fantastic. I notice Scandinavian actors are able to almost completely lose their accent when they portray non-Scandinavian characters. Can most people in Scandinavia speak English as well as you do? I wonder how long it would take me to learn a Scandinavian language...

Now, thinking back, Peter in Minority Report was an Oscar winning supporting actor performance. I see now why Europeans always say Americans have no taste! I can't stand Tom either...Only reason I even rented the movie is because of Peter... That's another one I have to rent again. I should just get a second job at a video store...

M: how do you find out all this great stuff about Spielberg, etc.? (now I'm going to be hearing that little frog song in my head...It really was cute!!)

When you think about it, he really is gifted/talented. It's hard to believe his character in Circus is the same actor that was in Purgatory/Fargo. Like I said before, in the US he's really underappreciated...

Do you live in Finland? Is he really appreciated and well known in Scandinavia/Europe?

Back to Circus -- I think I'm going to have to rent it again. I still don't really understand who was shafting who in that movie. That's the trouble with Peter movies...Sometimes it's hard for me to concentrate...

Loved the Circuit hairdo! Everytime I think about it I have to laugh! Liked the scene where he's drinking the scotch @ John H's and Famke J's apartment -- when he says "This is really good sh*t!" The end was funny too when they drugged him...

Actually, I would really like to know how they made that sneeze so authentic...

He plays good devious characters. The eye jokes were funny! How about that assistant! And that song they were singing! Was the song and that language he used to call the assistant Swedish? He kept quacking like a duck? It was cute...

I loved the character in Purgatory! How would you like him for your uncle?

Did you see Circus? Another amazing performance. A lot of plot twists in the movie. I'll have to rent it again to figure out the movie. Didn't watch it the first time for the plot... Ha Ha. P's character kept changing in the movie along with the plot twists...

You must see Bruiser! One part w/ Peter was so funny I fell off of the couch laughing and I am not easily amused! I'm going to go to Blockbuster to see if I can buy a copy. If I get it, I'll send one to you if you want me to. Peter is a comic genius. For the life of me I cannot figure out why he is not more popular in the US... He is virtually different in each role he takes -- and all of his characters are so very different...Did you see Million Dollar Hotel?

CC: Watching Ellie is back on, but Peter's not on it anymore! Some new guy plays the building super...Peter's character was the most interesting on the show. I wonder what happened... Anyway, I'm boycotting it if he's not in it...

I watched part of Bruiser on cable last night. Did you ever see Peter in that movie? He was the best thing about it. It was another unique over-the-top performance -- much like the one in Minority Report...

What else does he have in the works? (m)

CC: I guess I'll have to make friends with someone from Finland, or another Scandinavian country, so I can view Hamilton! Blockbuster doesn't seem to have Happy Campers, Damage, or Somewhere in the City...Guess I'll have to wait until Spun comes on video... It was playing not too long ago in one of the art theaters here in Ft. Lauderdale, but it was gone after one week. How bad could it be with Peter in it? Like I said before, alone in a world of Brad/Tom and Nick lovers...Speaking of Tom, did you see Minority Report? Peter was absolutely brilliant in it. Are we the only people with good taste? Also, did you see that Hitler miniseries a few weeks back? My VCR didn't go off for Part I...Only caught Part II, but it was another wonderful Peter performance...I wonder how Part I was??(m)

Great to see new names pop out! Welcome everybody! :D
I've been searching for Hamiltons to myself, and now actually found them from our own local "ebay", and even more than one. As they were cheap I took all four I found, so I have now one extra PAL-VHS video, and anyone interested to get it just email me! It's Swedish/English/Russian with Finnish subtitles, much of the dialogue is in English so the story is not too hard to follow.

No real news here, but it was neat, nonetheless. CBS in America ran a program to-night called "50 Greatest Heroes and Villains of Film" (or something like that) and the character Marge Gunderson, the cop from "Fargo" placed #33. They interviewed a few people about it, then showed Peter's scene where she sees him by the woodchipper, he runs and she shoots him. They didn't talk to him at all, but they should have! Even though he didn't place as a villain, it was nice to see that film get recognition.

I do feel cheated though, because Obi-Wan Kenobi, Han Solo and Darth Vader were on the lists, but Luke Skywalker wasn't! He's the biggest hero EVER! What's up??? (I love my Mark Hamill!!) :D
