I used to live in Goldsboro, NC. At that time I would listen to your music almost every day. It was about 1997 maybe. That is close within a couple of years. I was regular at the one Applebee's that is there. I went there almost every evening for a couple of hours. One evening just a little before closing you walked in with 2 other men and sat at a high top table in the bar area. I was sitting at the bar facing you. A close friend was with me. He listened to your music then also. I asked him and the 2 Bartenders if they wanted to to speak with Vince Gill. The only other person in that restaurant that night that knew you was my friend and he was sitting right next to me. We looked at you and did not approach you. It did not take long before everyone working there knew you were there but none of them knew who you were. There were no other customers in that restaurant then either. I got one of the wait staff to go ask for your signature on a napkin. You told her you were not Vince Gill but people mistaked you for him all of the time. There was a charity golf tournament in town then and everyone who knew you knew you were playing so I was not suprised to see you. Just before 11pm we were leaving and had to walk right past your table. You and I looked at one another right in the eyes and nether of us spoke. You see you saw that girl that worked there talking with me right before she went and asked for your signature. I was looking right at you as I spoke with her. I got a phone call when I got home from the bartenders telling me that had given everyone your autograph after I left. You stayed right next door at the hotel. The girl that worked the front desk said she slept with you that night. She would have been about 25/30 years younger than you. I know her and have known her all of my life. I saw her in Church everytime I went because she went every week. I had watched that girl grow up. I listen to Country music still but just not yours. I have a daughter now and she listens to Country music also. She knows every CD and which song is on the CD and where. We have about 150 CDs but none of yours. She watches them on "You Tube" and picks out her favorite videos and some of the music. Now you are unhappy that "You Tube" plays your music and you do not get any money for it. LOL. You take that away and so many generations are never going to hear you and then will never buy your music. Your greed is showing. I know that you are a bad person inside so I threw all of your music away and so did hundreds and even more that found out about your stay in that small town long ago. I am not suprised at all. Not enough that you have more money than most generations of a family will ever have. That ticket prices are so high most people cannot afford to go. You should be thanking "You Tube" for playing your music. They should charge you! You are all but forgotten by so many and the others have never heard your name. I suppose you are so used to living such an expensive lifestyle that since you sell no music any more you need the money to still live that lifestyle. When Garth Brooks did something similar many yeas ago I have not heard his music since. Everyone knew it was driven by greed. Now there are 150 people standing with Taylor Swift and all of you have more money than most people could not spend in 100s of life times but that is not enough. When that list is complete me and my daughter will not listen to any of those peoples music. Her children will not hear it and it will keep being passed down and spread around. I worked in night clubs and at concerts for many years and I look back and know how short lived the music really last. How bad it sounds live as the singers age. Make 100s of millions but it is never enough. They almost always end up with nothing. Always spending money like they did when they had a hit song and a good tour. Over charging for everything then and treating most people like they are better than them. If it was not for "You Tube" you would be long forgotten. So squeeze it and you will be forgotten. Music is not taught in schools. It gets passed down thru families. So take it away and you are taking yourself away. To me that is a good thing. I told you why already. But there are many others that are forgetting you still. You will just make that process faster.
