Subject: Christmas

Well, I guess it is time to get back to normal after a great Christmas break, It was great seeing my family. I returned to college yesterday, Dec 27th, basketball practice began again today; we have games Saturday and Sunday, Jan 2 and 3. Our classes do not resume until Jan 11th, so Kala is still at home and Tanner is a very lonely boy. To help pass the time when we are not at practice, my team mates and I have been hanging together and going in to town to eat at night.

We won our last basketball game (Dec. 18th) before Christmas break began. It was a very tight game between two evenly matched team; there were several lead changes and we won 73-72on a shot at the buzzer. I scored 18 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and blocked 6 shots. I made one three-point shots, five free throws and 5 2-point shots. My college has been fielding a basketball team for 45 years and we are off the best start ever, it feels great.

Christmas break at home was great, I enjoyed myself. When I arrived on Saturday (Dec 19th) Grizzly was all over me. He jumped up on me and gave a lot of licks and doggie kisses. When I tried to sit down, he would jump in my lap or sit by me. When Kala came over, he was just as excited and gave her the same treatment - I think she enjoy it. Kala and I spent some time with Rikki and Justin and I visited Jeremy for a while. Jeremy is still doing great and staying on the straight and narrow.

Christmas Eve the family gathered and we exchanged gifts and later attended Mid-night Mass. Christmas morning Brooks, Grizzly and I were up early to see what Santa brought us. Brady’s stocking has move to his house where it has been joined by Amber’s stocking. Even though they do not have a fireplace, Santa visited them and filled their stockings. I received a lot of great gifts, mostly cloth, gift cards, cash, CDs, etc. Nothing huge, but a lot of great gifts. Mom and Dad prepared agreat Christmas dinner and stuffed myself, it was great.

I can’t believe Kala and I will be starting our last semester of college on January 11th, it seems hard to believe. Wasn’ it just yesterday when I graduated from high school? It just seems hard to believe.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas with their friends and family, and good luck playing ball.
