Hey Petedad,

Thanks for sending your "Congratulations" to us and our
dad's for winning the different Father's Day Car Show
Awards this year.

Everyone of us and our Dad's had a blast showing the
Cars off at the Show. Even if none of us won any prizes
having a GREAT TIME was the real reason to go to the Show.

That would be something to see the 1917 Ford Model-T
Touring Car you shared about. Don't think we ever saw
a car that old at any of the shows we've attended. What color is it? We guess black on outside?

(Mark): WHOW! That car has been in the same family for
100 years? Do they have the first original license plate
to go with th card?

My grandpa's 1929 Ford Pick-up was brought brand new
in 1929 but the Dealership isn't operating today. Neat
we have that truck in the same family since 1929. I haven't
asked grandpa but, I think I'm going to get to have the
truck when he's through with it. If I don't, I'm going to
cry my eyes out!

The truck has been restored and about the only things
grandpa has done is replace the running boards on each
side of the truck. The bed of the truck is perfect condition. It has the original paint elsewhere on the
body.

Speaking of 1917, we had the radio on today and TODAY
mark's the 100th anniversary when the USA first had
World War I troops arrive in Europe to help fight in
the War. I've seen photos of the uniforms the men
wore back then. They sure changed appearance when
WW II came along.

(Jake): Was that 1917 Ford Model-T Touring Car driven
on any long family outings/trips?

Thanks for sending the story about that Car. That family
has to be mighty proud to own it since 1917.
