Thanks guys for remembering my birthday and dedicating your game to me, I appreciate your kind gesture very much.

Sounds like all of you played a great game and Mark scoring 25 points, great job.

My ninth grade team finished their season and last night we finished our post season tournament. I must say I am very proud of the guys, they came a long way this season and took first place in the post season tournament. In the championship game it was pay back for one team in particular who beat us twice during the regular season. The first time we played those guys they beat us easily, the second time we did better, but last night in the championship game it was payback.

We easily won game one 62-39 and game two 59-42, but the championship was close all the way, we winning late. With 12 seconds to play we had the ball but were down by two points, I called time out to set up the play. I wanted to get the ball to either our forward or to the center underneath who were playing great and both had hot hands. The defense collapsed quickly so the ball was kicked out to our check off guy who was covered, so he passed to ball the other guard who let a three point shot fly. Tyler missed the basket, but was fouled in the act of shooting and went tot he free throw line to shoot three. The opposing coach called time to ice Tyler, but he shook it off and drained three free throws, the kid was calm and collected. Me, on the other hand, aged 5 years - it was nerve racking.

After Tyler made his free throws, there was still 2 seconds on the clock and we played some tuff defense and came out with the win.

After the award ceremony, the guy celebrated in the Locker Room, they even threw Coach Tanner into the shower. No Gator Aid bath here. LOL.

Monday night the guys will turn in their gear and that will be it. The varsity is finishing their season with tourney time coming, we still have great shot to make state.
