I just want to write a few words and update everyone.

Wedding planning is going full speed ahead. Our wedding date is set for 5:00 PM Saturday June 24th. Reception and dance to fallow at the country club. Kala is busy planning the wedding and making all sorts of arrangements.

My teaching career is about to begin and I must admit, I am somewhat nervous. This week Kala and I have orientation and workshop. Normally workshop last three days,Wednesday to Friday, for returning teachers like my Mom, but since this our first year, we have two extra days of orientation. We spent time filing out paperwork, selecting insurance coverage, retirement plans, etc. I never cared about insurance coverage before because Mom and Dad took care of all that. Retirements seems a long ways away. Lol.

Brady said he plans to make the best Best Man speech ever at the reception, I wonder what he has planned. Lol.

Classes begin next Monday. I have been spending time reviewing the text book and materials for the classes I will be teaching. All the years I was in school I didn't realize how much time teachers prepared for class, at least the good teachers. I thought only students did homework, now I am doing homework and prep work.

I am an assistant football coach for the Middle School where I will be teaching, we started practice last week Wednesday. Our first game will be the Wednesday after Labor Day. We have some good kids to work with, but most lack Middle School experience. Most of the starters from last year moved on to high school. Our team will be young, but they have lots of energy and are very egger.

When high school football practice began I went back to my old high school and helped the coaches. The coach wanted me to work the Tight Ends and help them improve their game. It is a long season ahead, but the teams has some great players and I believe they have a good chance of dong very well this season, they are state championship material.

Kala and I have thinking about getting an apartment and moving out of our parent's homes. But, on the other hand, if we stay put until we are married we can save quit a bit of money.

Besides coaching and preparing for the upcoming school year,I have been having fun. I have been swimming on lots of hot afternoons, driving my old truck, attending cruise nights with Dad and just enjoying the summer.

My best friend Justin and Rikki announced their engagement. They are planning a fall wedding next year. Both Kala and I have agreed the be in their wedding party. Both Justin and Rikki will be in our wedding party. Rikki has agreed to be one of Kala's Brides Maids, it was Rikki who introduced me to Kala.

Saturday Kala and I are going out for a special to dinner to mark the time anniversary of us being introduced. It was in August of 2010 when Rikki introduced me to Kala after open gym on evening. Justin and I we there practicing basketball and Rikki and Kala we practicing volleyball setting and spiking. I was all dirty and sweaty and not wearing my t-shirt when we met. She liked me anyway. Lol.

Grizzly is at loss tonight, he misses Brooks who went back to college on Sunday.
