Hey Big Brothers Brady and Tanner and Grizzly,
Thanks for thinking we made the right choice deciding to get Summer
Jobs at the Minor League Baseball Park, along with our girlfriends
working there, too.

All of us miss working at the Boys & Girls Camps, we made some
great friends with the staff there and each year we would make
"new" friends with campers coming for the first time and we looked
forward to see "old" friends campers we made from previous camp
years, too. You might recall in our "off hours or time" we were able to
use Camp boats and other things too, but we are getting over the
"loss" and enjoying the Ball Park now.

When we work on days there are no games, and it doesn't interfere
in our off-days work we do bring along our baseball gloves and do
a little practicing with team members after they finish their practicing
and daily workouts.

A new experience for us ballplayers is hitting baseballs traveling
90-plus m.p.h. with a wooden bat. We used aluminum bats of
course before, but batting with a wooden bat is something else
and not as easy as it looks for us. In high school we did each
year have a Wooden Bat Invitational and batted with wooden
bats but, rest of the games we played we had to use the safe
aluminum bats. Hitting is not as easy with a wooden bat but,
we are getting used to it. Some of us have been hitting some
long range baseballs to the outfield and High School/College
Homerun Hitter Mark is hitting baseballs almost to the outfield
wall.
(Mark): I told some of the Minor League players I have
hit a homerun in a Major League Baseball Park in high school
when we played in the All-Star Game but, of course I was
using an aluminum bat. Quite a few of the Minor League players
were impressed.
(Drew,Jake,Sean,Cody & Hunter): We've been showing those players,
and giving Mark some competition trying to hit homeruns too, but we've
been doing goon to hitting way out to the outfield for show.

(Drew): I've had the opportunity to show my pitching skills to the Minor League coaches and they are impressed. If they are impressed, then
please sign me to a contact! LOL.

Big Brother Tanner you asked about what the Team Mascot is?
Well, we can't tell too much for obvious reasons but, the Mascot
is a Male, is black in color and furry. He has a girlfriend. She is brown
in color.

It is really cool to hang out when we can in the Team Locker room,
on practice days and sometimes after on game days. We've had a
few media people ask who we are and if we will be playing for the
Team soon or someday? That would be AWESOME to have happen
to us. Have our photos and stats on published baseball cards.

Speaking of that, we already had teammates autograph baseball
player cards for us, baseballs and even been given some "game
used baseballs" and PLayers Programs. Of course, these precious
souvenirs are for us and we'd never sell them for cash money to
anyone.

Oh, Grizzly you asked do we "get free concession stand food?"
We do get some free foods, using an employee credit voucher.
If it gets to be too high we get an Employee Discount. (Drew): Bet
you can't guess who among us uses his Free Food Limit up
regularly? LOL.

We have met some of the Host Families of baseball players
here. Each player lives with a Host Family to help the baseball
franchise save housing costs, and that way too if a Minor League
PLayer get's a call to advance to the Next Players Leve Minor League
Team to help them soon reach playing on the Major League Team then the player doesn't have to worry about paying rent or of course buying
a house.

The Minor League Team here has some Friday's during the summer
months when a former Major League "retired" baseball player comes
to the ball park to attend that home game, meet as many fans as they can, sign autographs and pose for photos, etc. We will probably
FREAK OUT when those Friday home games will be held because,
we'll know doubt have the opportunity to "meet" each player that comes,
and they won't mind meeting us, etc.

Hey, we do have a better job then working at the Boys and Girls
Camp meeting famous people here of all kinds of walks of life!

Some of us have assisted during home games when they have
baseball trivia contests to award prizes to spectators for both
adults and kids; and contests of having selected kids run bases
on the playing field to see who is fastest but of course each
person in the contests get a top prize of second or third or fourth
place finish prizes of game tickets, concession foods, major
league merchandise, etc.

We can't thank our College Baseball Coach enough for having us see
about the jobs here we have the Minor League Baseball Park. We
are learning how a Minor League Franchise operates from behind
the scenes, rubbing elbows with Minor League Baseball Players,
enjoying help to promote baseball here, and enjoying some great
ball park food. Somehow, the food tastes better for some reason!

We are having a blast and having fun! Too bad we can't go to some
away games. Oh well, gives us some time off to enjoy summer,
swim, work on our suntans, enjoy each others company with our
girlfriends, etc.

What a great summer this is going to be...and is. The official
FIRST DAY OF SUMMER 2016 began on June 20!

Later... We hope you enjoyed OUR BASEBALL REPORT!
