Okay, this "being" doesn't have to be just a "being". I have created a group of creatures called Celestians (still working on their info) and, basically, a Celestian can be either a creature that lived long ago, died, and was allowed to return to life by the Supreme Goddess when the Earth is in times of need. Or, a Celestian can be a lesser deity that is sent to Earth by the Supreme Goddess when Earth is in a time of need. Celestians are always good, although they lean a bit more towards neutrality since they are sent to restrore balance to Earth once more.
However, I was thinking that maybe something could happen and a Celestian that is sent to Earth becomes Dark or something (Maybe the process in which this particular Celestian got sent got messed up). S/he could become bitter and, instead of helping the beings around, attack them and seek to claim their souls. And this being does not attack just one loyalty (i.e., Light or Dark), but is a foe to them all.
(Decides to get to work on finishing the Celestian info, anyway)
