Well, I actually didn't discover 'em. I was about when they were discovered though. Blaze, or rather, Vitani, was scoping out the isle, checking the place over. She came to the moat area and saw a creature lyin' there on the shore like a dead fish. She came closer and saw it was a yahmi; nothin' really wrong with it; it must have jumped too far out and gotten stranded. The others were pokin' their heads out of the water and meowin' like they were distressed. They can't live on land, ya know. So, she takes it over to where the dibbun infirmary is now, puts it in a tub fulla water, and cares for it until it gets well enough to be released again. I saw it when it was being healed; strangest thing I ever did see. She put a seashell bracelet on it's foot and named it Flawless because it didn't have any scars or missing teeth or anything of that sort. Since then they've been 'ere to guard you dibbuns an' just swim about. They like Vitani, that's 'bout the only adult they like. But be glad, 'cause you wouldn't want to be attacked by one, mark my words. **Looks down at the one she's stroking**

"That's neat Kando." Abery, pats the yahmi's head gently. "Wot do you think 'bout the yahmis basilio?" She asks tilting her head in the young hare's direction.

"Yes, they are abery. I think that it's kinda cool that they watch out fer us. I think I'd like to try swimming to dem, are you gonna come with me, Abery?" He asks.
