When you commit to competing in something like this, and you give it your all, if you don't win, you are bound to be disappointed. Leading up to the pageant, the prep consumes your whole life...when it's over, it takes a little time to get rid of the "empty" feeling...and even more difficult when you are disappointed in your placement. It's not the easiest thing to cope with but I have a feeling they will do just fine, bounce back and be back next year!
[> [> [> [> [> [> Subject: I 100% agree with this post. It is hard from going 110% prep to 'its all over now, so now what?'. I hope some of the girls come back next year, but I think thats a decision they need to think of carefully. Sometimes taking a year off can do wonders and I'm curious if some of the girls taking a year off will refresh them to come back and take the crown.

[> [> [> Subject: LOL when I competed, girls wouldn't make the Top 10 and were generally OK with it. I'll never forget when the Top 5 was announced and a girl who didn't make it came backstage and locked herself in the bathroom we were all sharing. Then she demanded for someone to get her dress for the crowning because she didn't want to go into the dressing room and have to see anyone.
