Subject: Stephanie -- sorry...but I haven't heard any news to pass on. I'll send this out to some other writers and see what we hear. Have you called the hospital and taken the tour of the OB clinic? Maybe starting there will put your mind at ease. Good luck!

Hi Stephanie, the old hospital used to be pretty bad but 2 of my friends have recently (within 1 year) had babies there and it was really good. A lot of people will tell you only the bad things because people like to gripe! But it's really not bad take a tour and check it out!!! Good Luck with future babies!!

I just recently had a baby in april of '02. I had to have a emergency c-section. I had heard some of the same things. But they were great. I would choose them over other clinics that are used by dependants and active. They were very good with both me and m daughter that I had.

We're Air Force and I've chosen to get all my care from Portsmouth intead of Langely AFB because LANGLEY'S care is so bad!! I've heard nothing but GOOD things about Portsmouth. They have a lot more doctors and specialists on staff there, things seem to run very smoothly, and I know of two other air force families who had their babies there and were VERY pleased. So far the care I've received has been good. Like the other poster said, maybe the old hospital was bad, but I think they've really got their act together now. Good Luck!

I am wondering if anyone out there has had experience with the OB clinic at Langley AFB? I am 8 weeks into my pregnancy and need to decide if I will switch from Portsmouth (went through their infertility clinic) to Langley. Looking for any words of advice that might help me decide between the two. Thanks!

Thanks for the response, Robin... and welcome to Langley! My husband and I both asked around about where I should go and the general consensus was Portsmouth. Seems as though the people we spoke with who did OB care at Langley were not happy with the care they received, and the ones who went to Portsmouth had much better things to say. Thanks again and I hope you enjoy being at Langley! :)
