Subject: 1948 accident

I was hit by a car in 1948 in Denver, CO when my Father was
stationed at Lowry Air Force Base, CO. I was first taken by
the ambulance to Colorado General Hospital. I stayed there
approx. 3 days before being transferred to a nearby military
hospital. I don't know if it was Lowry AFB Hospital or Fitzsimmons Army Medical Hospital. But, I'm having a hard
time getting my medical records. I need them as I have just
developed hemiplegic migraines with complications. My neurolo
gist thinks my complications might be coming from the accident.
Washington tells me that our U.S. Congress signed a law in the
early 1950s saying that military records and military dependent records including medical records of dependents dated before 1950 could be destroyed. I find it difficult to believe that they would do that as I'm not even 60 years old. I was only 18 months old when the accident happened. Any ideas on how I might be able to find my medical records, I'd appreciate the help. Barbara Harper
