I have a '94 Jeep Wrangler that i lowered last year. I LOVED it. I used 3" lowering blocks front and rear. I have 15x7 rims on it......and i put 195/50/15 tires on it. I had a total drop of almost 7 inches (my old tires were 235/75/15...a little over 3 inches taller than the 195's)
WARNING!!!!!!......If you decide to lower it.....using the factory suspension (no swapping out for something else) i advise you to cut down the front bump stops instead of taking them all the way out. You WILL get a perfect dent in your oil pan the same shape as the front axle.....and it will hit your crank (not much room anyway from the oil pan to the crank). Also, my Jeep is an automatic and with the low profile tires........my speedometer was WAY off and it revved way to high on the highway. I kept it that way for awhile........but......had to lift it back up to factory because i couldnt afford to put gas in it....plus it was making the engine rev to high. You might not have that problem with a straight drive. Hope this helps.
