This post actually has nothing to do with midgets, I just always wanted to say that and it somehow seemed apropo here.

Would anyone like to comment on the chemtrail controversy that is sweeping the southwest? I only recently found out about it but there was some very odd synchronicity involved. I moved back to Texas a few months ago and happened to be out on the family ranch my first week back. I noticed what appeared to be an extremly long jet trail streatching across a considerable portion of the sky. I neither saw, nor heard, any aircraft of any sort and for some uncertain reason, I made a mental note of the time. I was doing odds and ends work on the fence line and finished several hours later (about 3:00pm). I noticed, to my puzzlement, that the jet trail still sppeared to be in the same place. Since this was very odd behaviour for what I had come to expect of jet trails, I continued to watch it until the sun went down. It stayed within the same 5 degrees of it's original spot for something like 6 hours. Now at the time, as I stated, I thought this was very odd behavior for a jet trail but didn't really put too much thought into it.

Now flash forward about two months, my wife and I got a house, got settled in and I began to use the computer again. I stumbled onto a thread in a conspiracy related site that had several links to web pages where the phenomena of chemtrails was discussed. Low and behold, I wasn't falling off my rocker (not just yet anyway). These things appear to have been seen by a number of people throughout the Southwest. I saw a picture of a jet on one site that appeared to me to be excreting a long trail of chemicals from behind it. Now I'm not sure what this stuff is or where it is coming from. I'm not jumping to any conclusions regarding the source or reasons behind it, but I would like to hear from anyone who has experience with this phenomenon and what your opinions are re: it's nature.
