MARIJUANA WILL NEVER BE LEGALIZED IN THE U.S. (so, hippies, quit trying)

Marijuana will not be legalized (or any other drugs, for that matter) in the United States. The U.S. government has a lot more to lose than anyone else if it was. I'm hearing constantly how the gov't could make so much money taxing the sale of it (much like cigarettes). They couldn't make anywhere near as much as they can selling it outright, behind everyone's backs, or as much as they can make thru fines and confiscating 'drug-related' property from the people they bust for cutting into their sales (or at least not buying from them). Also, the government would like to keep the populace sedate. This can be done thru alcohol, anti-depressants, and marijuana. Ever noticed how fines for marijuana are miniscule compared to other drugs (like LSD, for instance)? This is because these "hard drugs" don't knock you out and make you easy to control. LSD isn't addictive, has never caused a death due to overdose, and yet it is listed as felony for ANY possession since they count the weight of the paper, sugarcube, vial, etc... as part of the amount of drug (thereby bumping the charge up to 'possession with intent to deliver'). When was the last time the 'pothead' got busted and they counted the weight of the pipe as part of the quantity of pot in possession? Or the syringe weight for heroin busts? NEVER. That's because LSD makes you think in ways you normally won't (or cannot). When it was first developed, psychotherepists used it to allow them to think like their patients (making it easier to 'get into their heads'). Pot and Heroin, on the other hand, sedate you. They make your mind shut down and your body relax -- Not A Care In The World (and SO easy to control). It's a scam.
