You may have misunderstood me: It IS impossible to PROVE something doesn't exist, BUT that doesn't PROVE that it DOES exist. I cannot prove 'God' doesn't exist, but I have also seen nothing that shows 'He' DOES. IF I was shown/given proof of the existance of 'God', I would have no choice but to believe (and probably obey...), but until that happens, I choose not to subscribe to that train of thought/belief.

I would say the 'mystery of faith' should be called the 'conspiracy of faith' -- except that most 'conspiracy theories' have at least a little more factual referrence than does the belief in 'God'. If 'the common man' sees most conspiracy theories as whimsical, how can they view their god as anything more? Half the time I think that if the idea is embraced so heartily by 'the common man', it probably IS a tool of one conspiracy or another to give them control over a large variety of followers (aka - unwitting dupes).
