I agree that society goes through stages, but i also think that these stages can and have been speed up and slowed down by certain people's intervention. And not all Christians are stuck in the belief in no conspiracies or that any person of a different religion is evil. I am a Roman Catholic and my religion over history has done a lot of evil asshole (for lack of a better word) things. Also the ogranized church believes that only Christians will enter heaven, etc. I disagree with this greatly. I do believe in God and i believe in heaven and hell. I however do not believe that Christians fighting Christians makes any sense. I don't think Christians fighting anyone makes sense because the teachings they are supposed to hold so highly teach them not to fight. Also i believe that God does not care what religion a person is as long as they are good to others and are a good person in general they will go to heaven. And i doubt that many people go to hell because that seems like pretty harsh punishment for even some of the worst people i have met. Maybe a few nut balls are down their, i.e. Hitler, Stalin, etc. but not many in my opinion. I know many Christians who don't care what religion people are as long as they are nice people they get along fine. My best friend is Hindu and we never have any problems over religion. In fact when we talk about religion we both are interested in what the other has to say and we find it interesting how similar the two religions really are. I know that this sounds odd but the teachings of both faiths are very similar and Hinduism is actually monotheistic because all the gods in Hinduism are just one god that has potrayed himself as others according to my friend. I really think that religious quarreling is just plain stupid because i know of no major religion that preaches violence. The most rediculous fighting is in the middle east because Jews, Christians, and Muslims all worship the same God. All 3 religions had their leaders (or associates to leaders) visited by the same angel (Gabriel) and all religions teachings state violence is wrong. Those fanatics that think they are doing God's biddng by blowing up a school bus of children or shooting a neighbor inthe head are completely insane. (if none of you did not already know that-sorry for stating the obvious)
