Especially to those yg excellent dlm english. Masa aku matriks dulu... ade la dlm satu perhimpunan ni Pengetua aku cakap kpd student jgn amalkan budaya coupling semasa tgh belajar... and so on blah...blah...blah... Bile masuk kelas English, cikgu english aku kate penggunaan perkataan 'coupling' tu tak patut digunakan. Cikgu tu lulusan TESOL dr overseas. Dia kate... 'coupling' refers to org yg sedang bercouple dan dlm mase yg sama bukan setakat bercouple tp melakukan sex bebas. So dia kate kat Malaysia it's unusual kalau student couple and at the same time doing sex b4 married... kalau kat overseas lain la. So camna? ade opinion. yelah kalau betul perkataan tu tak baik la utk kita refer pd pasangan sedang bercinta, takkan kita nak gunakan. Cam tuduh org berzina lak... dosa besar tuh. [ Edit | View ] Date Posted: 00:01:25 05/22/01 Tue Author Host/IP: NoHost/202.188.205.23 ni hanya pendapat aku. penggunaan perkataan coupling tu, tgk pd keadaan la. kalau pada keadaan kat oversea tu, mmg coupling tu maksudnya pasangan kekasih dlm ertikata masyarakat diorang, lovers - lakukan hubungan lelaki perempuan yg dilarang tu. tapi bila kita guna dlm masyarakat kita, aku rasa cikgu tu cuma nak cakap coupling as in 'berpasangan', maknanya ada bf/gf itu sahaja. bukan dia nak tuduh diorang buat seks ke apa ke... sekadar istilah. lagipun dia ckp dlm perhimpunan yg aku yakin paling kurang 98% adalah org malaysia, betul tak? boleh faham2 sendiri lah. bahasa inggeris dah kira universal, maksudnya tak tertakluk pada cara org putih as in yg gunakan english sbg bahasa ibunda dia shj, kita pun boleh nak guna mengikut cara kita ala mcm kat sini kalau petang kita kata evening, 8 malam kita dah kata night, padahal ikut diorang ptg tu afternoon, pukul 8 tu evening lagi, good night tu tahap nak tido je. bukanlah kat sini aku nak ckp boleh la balun je suka2 hati nak guna bahasa, pandai2 la ikut kesesuaian, kalau pegi interview ke atau tgh jawab soalan exam guna la istilah yg proper dan grammar yg betul. tapi kalau sama2 kita ni, ala kau faham aku pun paham, can la what... you wanna say like that say la.. i don't kisah one... like that la.. minum dulu!!
