Author: James [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 03:07:51 06/18/03 Wed Division Promotions Press Release Riders for Game On Street Course Competition below Event: Snickers Game On Web: www.snickersgameon.co.uk Date: Sat June 21st & Sunday June 22nd Venue: Millennium Dome – North Greenwich Tube – 10 mins from Waterloo Ticket Price: £12.50 per day or £20 weekend ticket Advance tickets: www.aloud.com or by phone on 08701 251 251 The line-up for the Best UK Team competition in the street section at the Snickers Game On event on June 21st and 22nd at The Millennium Dome is below and looks like it will be an amazing part of the bill at this mammoth weekend. The UK Best Team contest will see 10 UK teams invited to compete. Each team will put forward 4 riders. Each rider will have 2 runs alongside 3 opposite teams riders. They will have 3 minutes to prove to the judges their skill and style over the street course. Unlike other systems the skaters will be judged on points and those points will contribute to an overall team score, much like a football league table. The teams with the most points will go through into heats until the top teams will battle it out in a final for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Did you get all that? In between the competition heats will be free skate time when all other riders invited will be free to skate in a jam type session. Free skate riders will also have a chance to win cash prizes for best trick and for those brave/stupid/lucky enough, complete the loop!
