I just shout at them and tell them to fuck off. I guess it depends how big/old/scary you are though. They dont give my favourite past time respect, they ruin spots (accumualting there, smoke weed, get pissed and swear at grannies. Thats all well and good, but not when you've got a skateboard in your fucking hand...) and annoy me, so why should i give them any respect???
