The Second Amendment was NOT meant for a time of war. What have they been teaching in those crappy public schools that makes you come to that conclusion? If the 2nd Amendment was meant for war, why didn't they trash it after the Rev. War?

And what if the 1st Amendment was perhaps only meant for a war period huh? Of course not. It was meant that you could have the right to free speech ALL the time, not just SOME of the time. The goverment deciding when 2nd amendment applies and when it doesn't ALREADY shows that you are living in a police state similar to the Commies.

As Thomas Jefferson said, the most important thing about the right to bear arms was that it gave you a last resort against tyrrany.

And he was talking about OUR goverment, not the British.
