You and her:
It sounds almost silly.
Used to be you and me.
"Forever," you said, "I promise."
And, it goes without saying
You make me sad.
The simplest way to put this.
I'm tired of it being so complicated,
Because you had me
and now her.
But I don't think I ever really
had you.
[You smile (of course)]
You did...have me going.
"So--I'm done,"...I say over and over.
A bit trite, don't you think?
Dissillusioned, I stumble...and,
eyes pained
but open
fall in front of
You and her.
I shouldn't care...But
It's obvious,
It's been over.
