A dark shape against the sun, Tak's bronze form spiralled down to his love. He glided smoothly to a landing on the sand, and ran to his mate. From his own jaws he dropped a glittering fish onto the ground in front of Her. Egg laying was hard work, he was sure, and he did not want Her to faint! He trilled a greeting to Her human, and arranged his body so that he was curled around Her, but tense and wary so that he could defend Her if it became nessecary. His human, Matt, was at the ocean, trying to become an apprentice dolphineer, but he would come as soon as possible. Tak admired the egg that held his golden daughter. Surely she would be as beautiful as her mother! May my Matt have a chance of Impressing my daughter the queen? He asked her, hoping against hope for the affirmative answer.
