The woman reached down as quickly as she could to pick up the egg that lay on the sand. She held the small, rocking shell in one hand, reaching into her pocket to grab some dried meat as the small fire-lizard began to fight her way out of her shell, finally coming to sit on Rinali’s hand to look up at her expectantly.
Lilith greeted the little one accordingly, and Rinali fed the queen with a tender stroke of the golden head. “Little one, I’ll call you Chil.” She told the baby flit warmly.
