Nymah sighed, and looked at the beautiful golden egg lying softly shimmering in the sun. She twisted a strand of coppery hair in one finger, a nervous habit, as her stormy grey eyes paled with tension, and desperation. Loki stared in awe of the queen in front of him. She was so beautiful! She nice. He told his friend. You want gold? “Yes.” She responded quietly, casting a desperate glance at the treasure of the nest. “I want the gold. More than anything right now.” But in her heart, she knew that the other girl would get the gold egg.
Loki stirred in her thoughts. Foodfood! he called, suddenly hungry. Nymah couldn’t help giggling at the greedy hatchling. "Do you only think of your stomach?" she asked him, grinning. She reached into her belt pouch and pulled out a strip of dried meat, which she gave to her blue.
I’ve no dragon. She thought to herself. I have never had anyone to talk to. Will this chance be denied me?
