Subject: Liraz's flits are such... rascals.
In reply to: Meir 's message, "Hmm, is somebody hungry?" on 23:47:00 11/21/03 Fri

Awww, Gaiath is still snoring.
N'van had to giggle at his green's attitude toward her smaller sister. If only Liraz knew that she and Hers were apparently so cute, he was sure there would be a screaming sibling-fight. He walks along the beach with the dragonet, taking in the sea air. Tal and Etan perch on the kindly Sleipnirth's shoulders as she strides fluidly across the sand. He still can't believe that he has Impressed, and is a greenrider like his favorite brother.
I bet your sister's at least a Wing Second when her dragon grows up. She certainly has the wings for it.
N'van looks over at the green as she says this, trying to see if she was being sarcastic. The thought of Liraz as a WingLeader scared him slightly, but he knew she would try for it if the position ever became open. He finds himself amazed by the facility of the dracling's movements and feels he has to say something.
"Dragonmine, such grace in one who just hatched this afternoon bodes well, don't you think?"
You're too kind.
Suddenly, they catch sight of the gold nest, and N'van immediately recognizes his sister's bronze.
"Meir?" he says, as if to make sure, and the coppery flit flies to his hand with a proud bugle. N'van scratches the little bronze's eye-ridges, down his back, as Meir chirps a greeting to the brown and the blue, and of course, the dragonet. "Good job, you little tramp, you!" Meir flies back to his position near the nest, still looking very pleased with himself and especially pleased at the fact that there is a Queen egg in there.
Tal and Etan rise up from the green's back and fly around in excited circles overhead. Eggs! Eggs! Maybe she let you have!
"Well, it can't hurt to ask, since I don't have really long hair. Remember how Asis got Ani by the braids? I had to laugh at that story, but..."
The two flits burst into a fit of high pitched giggles in his mind, and N'van approaches the nest, dragonet gliding gracefully along at his side and settling down a ways back to avoid disturbing the small queen.
"Good day, little Queen." N'van says, carefully keeping his hands away from the eggs without permission. "I wonder if one of your children could find a place with me, perhaps even the gold?"
He kind. He very good to us. Etan adds, and Meir trills an affirmative.
The others are correct, of course. Tal puffs himself up importantly, but when he realizes that no one is watching him, he flies to perch on N'van's shoulder and look over as much of the nest as he can see.
