Tr'ln accepts the tiny egg with reverence, amazed that the little flit gave him any egg at all, and thanks her profusely as he rose and turned walking off to the Weyr, cradling the egg against him with an awe that seemed exaggerated for such a little egg. But he'd have himself a flit; he'd always wanted one, and now all he had to do was take good care of the egg, and then the flit that came from it. He could hardly wait until the tiny creature inside of it broke shell and came forth into the world.
