Relirath's lime-green wings block out the sun momentarily as the dragon lands nearby. Perched on 'Rath's nose is blue Chanoch, beaming proudly as he looks down at the clutch.
Ani manages a graceful dismount for once and falls to the sand gratefully. Relirath's unusual endurance allowed her to fly for hours without dropping Ani off, and as a result, the willful dragon's rider had just spent about six hours in the air. A little loopy, she approaches the nest.
"Hello, little beauty," she says, softly, intrigued by the unusual color of the flit's hide. Chanoch had odd taste in women, but it was not a bad sort of odd. "Can you spare me a green?"
She said the priority is yours.
Chanoch flies excitedly in a circle over the nest, generally behaving like an overcaffeinated puppy until he smacks right into Relirath's outstretched wing and falls to the beach in surprise.
You didn't see that.
Ani turns from the nest at Chanoch's angry hissing, but quickly pieces together what had happened.
"Come here, silly." Chanoch flies to her hand, and Ani deposits the blue near the nest. He trills quietly, still concerned for his mate's wound.
