The beautiful young woman, about 16 turns of age, gracefully glided over to the clutch. Her large green, blue sized Kilanakath, stoe on beside her, with the four little flits on her back. Sitara kneeled at the clutch, and bowed with as much sincere gratitude as she had with the mother queen who had protected Kath's clutch.
Little golden sovereign, I thank you for allowing me so close. My name... it is Sitara. I ask you to allow me worthy of your beutiful queen egg, the most cherished of them all. I'd understand whole heartedly if you don't consider me worthy, being a lowly greenrider, but please, just think about it. If I were to be presented with the gem of your clutch, the princess of the skies, I would cherish her as the most beautiful flit, as her mother. The fair princess would be taken the best of care in my arms, and I love her so much already. I understand already why you would not want her to go to me, for I am not of the noblest family, being born on a runner-ranch. But please, let me actually be in mind; consider me for her, at leats let me look at her, And I will be the happiest of all citezens of Pern. I will wait my whole life for her to hatch, if that if what you wish. Please, golden empress, consider me!
Tears form in her eyes as she looks at the queen egg, just as beautiful as the dragon egg she'd seen at Kilanakath's hatching. Silently, tears of awe running down her check occasionally, she waited to see what the golden empress would think of her, hoping beyond hope she'd hear her ply.
