((Lucky lucky lucky! I knew you would, though. You caught her.))

She watched, her eyes saddening as the gold was given away. Suddenly she and her brother reached for their pockets simultaneously. They pulled out two fire lizard eggs. Botan's hatched into a wonderful green, tiny, like her wonderful mother had been. Tully chirped with pride. But Ati's wasn't hatching. It just sat there, limp. And cold. And dead. Atiyana let out a stiff sob.

"It must've been from when I was at the ocean. It must've been too cold for the egg." She wiped her face. Tully crooned sympathetically. She rubbed her cheek on Ati's and squeezed her tail around Ati's neck. Ati pet Tully as she buried the dud in the sand. Botan reached a comforting arm to wrap her shoulder as the green picked up fish remains and Botan Impressed it.

"What should I name her?" he asked, trying to comfort Ati. She shrugged.

"Emera?" She nodded and gave a slight grunt through the tears. Tully scolded Bram for bugging the sleeping green and that seemed to slightly cheer her up. She stopped crying and gave a giggle. Botan hugged her close. "It's OK. It wasn't your fault. It's OK."

She nodded and wiped her face with a hankerchief. She looked at the remaining eggs. A good clutch. But she wanted none. Botan shook his head slowly and led her away.
