The youth catches Sitara's saddened gaze and reaches out one hand to squeeze her shoulder lightly in comfort. "Don't worry, you'll get a gold," he whispers, then raises his voice to the normal volume. "After all," he beams at her, "We can have up to six flits!" Torlenth yawns just then, sending a pointedly sleepy look at his rider. "Oh, right. Yeah, Torlenth's sleepy. Why don't you go on ahead, Sitara, and I'll detour to the Lower Caverns and get us some scraps for when these beauties hatch? I'm sure I'll make it to you before they do." T'mber's abrupt departure is noticed just then, and the bronzerider laughs. "He's sure intent on beating us!" Still chuckling, P'milo smiles at Sitara. "I'll meet you at the Barracks, with flit food." Torlenth yawns pointedly once more and the pair make their way out of the crowd and towards the Lower Caverns, the small egg still cradled gently in one hand, the other falling to its now-customary place on Torlenth's darkly bronze shoulder.
