The young dragon did not respond to the sound of her name, instead watching Kiarath with a little confusion. That wasn't very nice.
Relirath, it's not polite to stare. The dragon snorted and playfully bumped Ani with her tail, sending the human sprawling with uncharacteristic lack of poise. Fortunately, she managed to take the proffered eggs, 2 medium and 1 large, and not break them. They broke themselves by hatching.
First, a large blue emerged, creeling until Ani managed to stuff some leftover meat into his mouth. A brown came next, falling right out of the shell onto the sand and hissing indignantly. The last was a bronze with regal poise, managing to break the eggshell, shake it off, and demand food without looking or sounding silly at all. Once the flits were well fed, Ani scooped them up, calling the blue Chanoch, the brown Etan, and the bronze Melchior.
