While A'dian roams the forest edge, exclaiming over the varied plants and trees, Vitaliath charges for the surf. As the adult green appears, she pulls up, and changes direction to see what had brought the older dragon here. Topping a dune, she spots the clutch and stops short.

~A'dian! A'dian!~ His dragon's excited shout doesn't fully register in the boy's mind for a few seconds.

-This is good soft wood for carving, I- what is it, Vitaliath?- he demands, spinning away from the tree.

~Come look!~

Interpreting the young green's excitement as fear, A'dian dashes for his dragon's side. He pulls up beside her, equally stunned. "Oh!"

~Little dragons,~ Vitaliath says happily.

-Firelizards,- he corrects automatically.

~Whatever they're called, I want one! Can we have one, A'dian, please, please?~ Vitaliath turns whirling eyes on her rider-to-be.

A'dian smiles fondly at her, scratching a neck-ridge as he nods. -Why not? It would be nice....-

As they approach the clutch, a thought strikes him. -Vitaliath, do you think A'lan would like a firelizard? I could bring him an egg.-

~Why not bring him here, instead?~ Vitaliath suggests. ~The little mother should be able to see him before she chooses which of her children to give him.~

-You're right,- A'dian says thoughtfully. As they stop by the clutch, he nods respectfully to Tani and Euroth before turning his attention to the gold. "Little mother," the blond boy begins, using his dragon's term, "Could I possibly have an egg or two from your clutch?"

~Please, please?~ Vitaliath adds, begging shamelessly. ~A'dian will be really good to it, I promise.~
