The rider smiles broadly, accepting the eggs with a painstakingly careful hand and settling onto his haunches.
"Thank you, fine gold, I'll take the best care of your progeny."
The smaller splits its shell, tossing out a rich, emerald-and-jade wing. The rest of the dainty green shoves from her prison, creeling to the sun and sands and heat of her birthplace. T'velkan stares in awe for the feisty little creature, rubbing his finger down her spine lovingly.
"Atahli suits you."
Meat is offered to the magically-coloured creature, snapped into her hungry gullet. Atahli chooses her perch of behind the feather in T'velkan's plumed hat. The larger egg turns over once, and the boy scoops his other hand to catch its slowly vibrating mass. Shards flake off of it, and a deep creeling emits from within. Hide of dull, pale greyish-bronze offsets the majesty of the green, but the sheer size of the flitter makes up for the strange shade.
"And you, Guiel."
Stroking him, as well, the bluerider offers him the last of the meat and a place to settle on his shoulder. That, of course, is ignored, and Guiel clambers up besides his sister on the hat. Rising and dusting shards from his palms, the boy bows again to Serendipity - much to the displease of his new flits - and takes off stumbling across the dunes.
