She stands silently, as she feels the egg begin to shake, she remembers her lessons and puts it in a "nest" of warm sand. Seeing the beginning cracks to the shell, she readies her meat, this one would be hungry.


Moments later, the cap of the shell pops off, and a little golden head emerges slowly, eyesopening slowly, after several moments of silence, broken only by the small crackling, and then, wonder of wonders, a chirrup! Having uncurled herself from the egg, the little queen looks up at the human hovering above her. In that commanding tone unique to the queens, she cries for food, which is instantly supplied by Aratari. Once her belly is full, she croons and stretches, before being lifted to her mate's shoulder and curled her tail around Aratari's neck to sleep.
