Our father's runnerbeast was giving my brother too much trouble." Her huge grin does not disappear but rather melds to a more sincere and less jesting one.

"I am awfully proud of him, though. Impression takes a good person, a good heart. Dragons don't go to just anybody, do they?But I'm sure you already know that. Viouth chose you, so you must be a very good person indeed. Ten, I think have hatched, but I'm not sure. It's all happening so fast!" She smiles again, her hands shaking only slightly at the thought of it all. "And Channa told me there was going to be a big gathering afterwards. What's that like?"
