Realizing what he'd done, he mumbles a quick apology, before shaking his head. "The past is past, that's easy enough," he says reassuringly, obviously not overly worried about a disappearance that occured seven years ago. "Yes, now I have Viouth." Almost as though he didn't realize he spoke aloud, he adds, "And I almost lost her, too," in a very, very quiet voice. Briefly, his mobile mouth draws into a frown, before he literally shakes himself and glances back up, smiling wanly, more for Wessae's benefit than his. "What happened to your brother, anyway?" he asks, trying to get his voice up to a normal volume.

The green sounds exasperated. He can't stop thinking about the recent past. Just like him. I love him, of course, but sometimes he can be impossible. I think Wessae and especially A'rak are good for him, though, she comments, having pulled the boy's name from her rider's memory.
