I agree that spanking your husband (or your boyfriend) makes him yours. My girlfriend is not as strict with me as you and Anne are with your husbands, but she does spank and paddle me. If I do something she doesn't like, she gives me several hard swats on my bottom immediately, whether we are in private or in public. One time when we were on a crowded commuter train she swatted me as we were getting on and after we had sat down she said she was going to put me across her knee when we got home. The other passengers must have heard it.
Like I said, she is not as strict as you are, but we know a couple where the wife canes her husband. Just like you, she keeps a cane hanging in the hall where visitors can see it. Most of their relatives and friends know that she disciplines him with it.
I think you have the right approach with your husbands. Spanking or caning is much better than having a fight and most of us males need and consciously or unconsciously want firm discipline from the woman in our life.
