At his age it is fine for him to see his dad get paddled. He might even learn a lesson from it too. I am divorced now and my ex was not a spanker of me or our three kids.
My sons are now 18 and 13 and daughter is 16.
I allow my eldest brother to paddle me when I only when I absolutely deserve it, and my oldest son had witnessed it.
