Subject: >Let's not harass the green, now.<

((Oi, El, here's a volunteer for keeping disturbances out. ^_^ He's subdued and responsible enough for it, and I need someplace to put him. Hope you don't mind, Z'll.))

As he crossed the Bowl, T'gan had seen Wessae hurrying into the Hatching Grounds, and the quiet bronzerider had followed her in out of curiousity. Hearing her comment about keeping Grenith stress-free and people away, he heads to the door to intercept any intruders. He too remembers hearing of the green clutch back before the disasters, though he hadn't yet been a dragonrider at this point, and he can't help a mental wince as Wessae outlines the difficulties the dragonets might face. Spotting Z'll hurrying in just as he reaches the door, T'gan quickly reaches out and catches the bluerider's shoulder. "Excuse me- Z'll, right?" he guesses, ignoring the boy's profanity. "Someone seems to have slipped up on giving a green firestone, and she's clutched. I'm not so sure you should be in here right now; the Weyrwoman says Grenith shouldn't be disturbed." It's natural for T'gan to take up door-warding duties without bothering to ask Wessae; he figures that if the Weyrwoman minds, she'll tell him, but she looks busy enough without having to assign the task.

What?! Chuth had been pleasantly napping, until the agitation of the dragons involved had woken him up. A green clutch- At his rider's mental nudge, he breaks off, grumbling anxiously. It's just not right for something like this to happen, though he couldn't tell you exactly why if you asked him, and it distresses his very instincts.

/If anyone asks, please tell them what's going on, and ask them not to come in here,/ T'gan tells the bronze. /You can't keep any Candidates out, but I can deal with them when they come in the door, and we'll be wanting them anyway. Just not so close as to bother Grenith./ Just then, three firelizards appear in the air around him, cheeping curiously, and his eyes widen. Shards! Those things will be in here, harassing the poor green.... /Westar, Tresta, get out!/ he snaps at them, and the blue and green vanish between with startled cheeps. /Kestor, fly high, stay away from the green, keep other firelizards out. Got it?/ he orders, in a stream of mental images.

:do!: the brown affirms, sending the images back in acknowledgement, and begins to circle very high above the dragons' heads, eyes and mind alert for other firelizards. He'll keep them out, yes he will, because he's a good little 'lizard and it makes T'gan happy.
