The Lower Caverns always has hot food prepared for riders, and off-duty riders often function as cooks as well, for we don't have many drudges. After every Hatching Ceremony, a grand Hatching Feast is held here, usually lasting the whole night long in celebration of the new riders. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are also served for those riders who can catch regular meals. The Lower Caverns are often used as a place of socializing, since the nearness to food and drink encourages conversation.
