Halzay gave the smallest of smiles. "Lizzie's slipped up one or twice, I believe, but thank the skies she never clutched! not that the hatchlings are any different than normal, but... I'm just not sure I'd do good with the pressure. And we all now she hasn't slipped since she heard about Grenith."

Halzay frowned. "Actually, G'rein, she's wanted to be a rider... but she wouldn't want the clutching responsibility." She knew G'rein probably thought the girl wanted the gold. "She's never wanted a gold, and is even reluctant to talk about greens. She fancies the male dragons." Halzay smiled to herself. "It took us the longest time to convince her she couldn't ride a bronze. That's always been her dream. Right, sweety?"

Halzay could talk about dragons and her daughter calmly... as long as you stayed away from the topic of S'peer.
