Author: D'var - Galenth + Alkyri and Kuru
Subject: party party party!

((OOC: NPC's and D'var helps out! Yay! I'm bored, really is all. And felt like posting him))

D'var had awoken by way of a harsh prod to the side by Galenth's metallic muzzle. The entire day flooded back to him in seconds and he had stretched and looked around. Galenth had been fed and cleaned, and the pair had moved D'var's belongings and found a comfortably sized weyr for the bronze hatchling. Beyond that was unconsciousness, and a long period of it at that. D'var awoke to news that the Hatching was over, and that the feast would start momentarily, once the Weyrwoman arrived there. The thought of food was enough to uproot D'var from his position of absolute comfort and into nice clothes...at least, ones not covered in sweat, sand and blood. Throwing on his usual khaki colored pants, D'var chose a black shirt with the sleeves missing as usual. Kuru and Alkyri watched the entire display as D'var ran his hands through his hair in a futile attempt to fix what little there was before giving up. Satisfied and relatively sure that D'var wouldn't be brushing him off, Kuru, the larger blue, curled his lanky, dark form about his shoulders as Galenth relented to letting the cerulean hued firelizard, Alkyri, curl between his wingblades. And so the quartet left.

D'var walked into the Lower caverns, one hand looped loosely around the neck of his young bronze companion. the other hand was in his pocket, fidgeting with a string as he looked around. Not much had happened yet, as people were still running around in a flurry of activity, setting up. D'var's arm was caught by some stranger and he let out a slight yelp before being shoved over to assist with the moving of a table. He fell into helping with ease; D'var was the type of person who had never once met a stranger, and chatted easily with others who had been pulled into tasks. Finished with moving things, D'var sidled back to his lifemate, light dancing in his eyes like silent laughter as they exchanged thoughts.

Oh D'var, you're so helpful with your hulking muscles, can I feel them?
Of course Galenth, because I am the most strapping man here

Galenth prodded him, eyes dancing a bright blue as D'var cracked a grin, rolled his eyes and flexed his arms, mock posing. The joke was all gesture and silence, and D'var's hand left his pocket for a moment to stroke the young bronze's eyeridges. D'var turned and looked around the cavern. There were no dragons in here, nor hatchlings. Feeling D'var's hesitation, Galenth nudged him softly.

You stay, chat. I'm going to catch the last bit of sun anyway. If other hatchlings make their way inside, I will return...and stop worrying. Think I'm going to get eaten by a wherry or something?

With a soft laugh, Galenth pushed his rider forward and made his way outside. By this time Kuru and Alkyri had switched places, Alkyri preferring to stay near to his companion, while Kuru napped adragonback. D'var couldn't help wanting to follow the young bronze, no matter how much Galenth was insisting he not. Giving up this mind war, D'var turned back towards the room and eyed the few sitting at tables, already drowning in wine. The young man grinned. A bit of refreshment could be quite nice, and so he grabbed a cup and a plate of food and sat at one of the tables he'd moved, eating, drinking and watching his cerulean hued flit play with a meatroll as he waited for more hatchlings to come in. He hadn't met any so far, being the second to Impress. This should prove interesting.
