Nerilki brushed her hair back behind her shoulder again. The blue rider made her feel much younger than she was, probably because she'd had to grow up much faster than the green rider had. Where did that come from? she asked her dragon, unaware of the conversation Avianyth was having with Darlith.
Avianyth did not answer.

They just don't seem like we would be compatible. I mean, it's not like I know what I want in a dragon. I probably have a better idea in what I don't want in a weyrmate that I do. It confuses me sometimes.

"It would seem that you are right, once again, bluerider. When I Impressed the first little one- that little one closest to you, actually- I was under the Impression that they would take less work than my dragon. Then again, I was speaking to a girl who only had one. Then I got the other three, and I got busier and busier." Nerilki grinned wryly, amused at her own naivity.

Avianyth puzzled over that statement. 'Anyone else?' what do you mean?

Majestic could sense that the blue rider wouldn't move any further on her own, so he took one, two, three more tiny steps in her direction. The warmth of her hand on his blue hide was odd. He could tell that she wouldn't give anymore, yet such passive- or held back?- affection was oddly comforting to the little blue.

((I think that Majestic has a crush on her!))
