They have been found for coffee since we bumped into them when Luke was out with his nappy on. And I must admit I found an excuse to make sure Luke had a nappy on when they came. I didn't go the whole hog and put him into a big thick terry nappy and a pair of his most crinkly baby knickers; I was kind and allowed him a fairly discrete disposable nappy and a pair of soft rubber baby panties. I let him choose what he wore over them, so that if our friends did notice his nappy I could blame him for not choosing more suitable trousers. I also told him that I was thinking about getting a babysitter for him when he was being 'baby punished'. I was considering no such thing, of course, but it was a useful threat.
