Snow is whipped hither and thither as the full force of the stom--its known intent to drive all living things into desolate, wet, miserable seclusion--travels, oblivious to the pleas, wants and needs of its victim equines. Snow and ice pellets pelt the trees, as snow piles up, some trees even fall down. Harsh cracks are scarcely heard above the thunderous winds which sound like both a high-speed car chase and a screaming ghost all at once. The Glen is immediately transformed into a squirming, writhing beast, if viewed from above, as waves of snow and a torrential mixture of rain, sleet, and ice falls upon the pitiful equines below.
