 "You'd leave me?" he asked softly, his dark eyes fixed on hers. His head dipped as he pressed his forehead against hers before moving on to nuzzle gently at her neck. He sidled as close as he could so that their sides touched, his tail sweeping up to graze her back. "And I can't help it if I'm a goof, you still love me, right?" he pleaded, his muzzle continuing its slow, loving perusal of her pelt.
